Vidjela sam ga prekjučer, neki ga Slovenac vozi.
Meni jedan od najljepših BMW-a, zanima me sve o tom autu što znate,potrošnja, kad je predstavljen, kakva su vaša iskustva ...??

Evo nekih karakteristika o njemu:
*na pocetku su razlike ovog modela od 850 Ci:
# different front bumper (different air scoop)
# M-style mirrors
# lowered suspension
# 17" wheels (as oposed the the standard 16") with turbine spokes (directional wheels!). The same style was used on the M3 and M5.
# extra diffuser at the back (between the tailpipes)*
# round chromed tailpipes (as opposed the black and square)
Note that this engine delivers almost as much power as the current M5 V8 (380 vs. 400), but doesn't have 4 valves per cylinder. It does have more displacement however: (5.6 vs. 5.0). The other difference might be that the V8 is somewhat more efficient at lower speeds (less displacement means less fuel consumption).
The problem (performance wise) with the 8-series however, is its high weight. The absence of the B-style and that the chairs carry the seatbelts, means that these chairs are very heavy. Other cars without a B-style, such as cabriolets incorporate the seatbelts in the cars body, but a lot lower than normal. The newest 3-series cabriolet [2000] uses the same kind of chairs as the 8-series. But with an extra feature: an electric switch below the headrest to move the seat forward (or backward). In pre-production models of the 850, the seat would move forward automatically when folded forward. This was easy to do because all 8-series have electrically adjustable seats. These feature however, didn't make it into the production models, why is unknown. The 3-series move-forward action is at a higher speed than normal, maybe that is - indirectly - the reason why it wasn't build into the 8-series; they couldn't (or wouldn't) speed up the movement...
Other weight imposing features are the windows without 'sponning' (just like the M3; second generation and on). And a lot of electric gadgetry of course. All this adds up but still doesn't completely explain the high weight (more than 1800 kg!). Other GT's weight around 1500 kg. Still, it means that it is a very sturdy car and very well built.
Examples are known when an 8-serie was involved in a serious accident without sustaining injures to the occupants.
This high weight means: high fuel consumption no matter what your driving style is.

model je dosta mator! mislim da je izasao pocetkom '90-ih a mozda i ranije! dok sam ziveo u sapcu jedan covek ga je vozio i ja sam bio zaljubljen u njega(mislim na auto ne coveka da me ne shvatite pogresno)!!!! od tad sam zaljubljen u bmw uopste!

Zaboravio sam da napisem: 850i je izasao '90 godine, tacno. 850CSi je izasao tek '95.

Nedavno sam vozio BMW 5 touring 4.7 V8 370 hp (nije provjereno) i vidio sam da je max brzina ogranicena na 300. Zar nije kod svih ogranicena na 250? ili je mozda neka greska

pa taj bmw je tjuniran pa tako su mu mozda skinuli blokadu koja je na 250 a i sat koji prikazuje brzinu uvek zna da pokaze malo vise od realne brzine....

Nisam znao da BMW pravi peticu touring sa motor od 4.7 litara i 370 konja. Da nije to Alpina?

Nije Alpina obicni BMW citao sam na njihovoj web stranici o tom motoru V8 tamo pise da ima 340 konja,al ne pise nista o max brzini

taj auto je sredijo svakog Porsche na cesti, samo sada je i 850i ostario...
treba nesto novo, recimo kao 645Ci
